The goal of Southside's Community Learning Center (CLC) is to improve student performance on school and state assessments with a primary emphasis in Reading/Language Arts and Math achievement delivered in a fun, positive learning environment.

The CLC at Southside provides after school programming for Southside Elementary children to meet the goal stated above.  Activities at the CLC include: homework help, subject and skill specific tutoring, physical activity, healthy snacks, cooperative games and team building, arts and crafts, and enrichment and extension activities.  The activities and opportunities above are linked to and support the curriculums and goals of Southside Elementary School and the Sparta Area School District.  The CLC is much more an extension of Southside School rather than a separate program.
